- Fled from the city he lived in when things broke bad with these crime families
- Also happened to be dying of an incurable disease
- Coincidentally had a run in with a member of this pharmaceutical group called Rhodes Island, who were working to treat said disease
- Perfect chance to join this company and receive treatment?
- Nah, first decided to make a mess of things in a new city, and piss off more powerful people
